THEME DAY: Paths/Passages

The path across this bridge leads to the bamboo forest at the Japanese Gardens.  Today is City Daily Photo Theme Day. My Daily Photo friends around the world are posting their interpretation on this theme.  Please give 'em a look.

V, I LOVE your photos BUT I especially enjoy your musical pairings with them. Always first rate!

Two beautiful photographs. Japanese gardens are always so wonderfully peaceful. A beautiful bridge but I'm particularly drawn to the path under the bamboos. I can hear them swaying in the breeze. Don't you just love the sound of bamboo in the wind?

Here are two things near to my heart and I have been there and seen the native things. Japanese bridges like this except very long span some water at Matsushima. And the bamboo thickets are everywhere. So much so that I am now planning on planting some clump bamboo to enhance my backyard. I love the stuff and it does so much more for the environment than any other kind of grass.

Lovely choice for the theme day post.

I missed the theme day somehow but I wrote in my Memories blog about the roads of my youth and how they were to travel in the winter time.

Where are the water lillies? I'm refleting on the bridge of course, which would be my choice of path. Red is the colour this week.

Such beautiful photos, Virginia! That little red bridge really stands out in the photo and the bamboo forest looks so peaceful. I love the sound of the wind blowing through bamboo and it must be wonderful there on a breezy day. Happy Theme Day!

I get a similar feeling in the Japanese garden here. How can something so red be so peaceful?
