Au Revoir Pepper Place Market! sniff sniff

Oh it had to end sometime. As my faithful followers know, the Pepper Place Market is my chief source of photos from spring until........October 1oth ( sniff). Today I will be there for the last time till spring. I'll bet you're wondering what I'll do for photos for this blog for the next six months or so. Well I'm wondering the same thing! Today, I leave you with one of my very favorite vendors. Meet Donny Tomlin. He does double duty each Saturday. His "main thing" is as the "Maple Man". Donny has some nice Japanese maples for sale. When his sweet wife mans their booth, he grabs that guitar and belts out some fine tunes. The day I snapped these photos, he was singing "Brick House" ( This isn't Donny's version but it'll do). Lord have mercy he's good!

I was unable to get his website to work so search for: Donny Tomlin, Tomlin Landscaping Serv.

Japanese maples are the most good looking trees I have ever seen. The one we had in our backyard in Ca was incredible!
I presume you have to go back to Paris then for some more pictures... lol

Virginia, the General Store at Pepper Place will remain open year round and will have things there from some of the regular Pepper Place vendors and farmers. Please tell everyone about this; a friend of my daughter does this.

ToonMan grew up in Hot Springs and says they had those as well as silver maples in the front yard ..

I bet you'll find lots of pix to snap, you've got that amazing painterly eye ..

He looks like he's really belting it out. All good things have to come to an end...

I have no doubt that you will find some subject matter. I like the way you tilted the bottom photo. I can never figure out when to do that.

We're sitting in Andy's apartment in Chicago. Hitting the train from an airport hotel at 5:30 in the morning to meet him downtown and watch the start.

Anonymous,
Thanks for the tip. I knew it was open but didn't realize they will have produce as well. Terrific!

Bob,
I don't know why I tilted that photo either but I do like it. I'll need to be careful not to overdo that technique! :) Can't wait to hear how Andy does tomorrow. Run Andy Run!!

Therese,
Mais oui! I'd leave tomorrow if I could.
