Oh the Details!

I was stopped in traffic on 21st Street North beside First Presbyterian Church recently, and I spotted this wonderful detail work that I'd never noticed before. Luckily I had my camera. I rolled down the window and here it is for you to admire!

I've posted other photos of this wonderful old downtown Birmingham church here.

Wow! This is a lot of detail work! Glad your camera was handy and ready to go. Terrific shot!

If you'd been forced to get out of the car for this photo it would have been wilderness photography I suppose -:)

I like the details, too.

Look at all of those elements you've captured in this one image! What a debt we owe to traffic lights.

You've got a great lens there. I see these things, but my camera seldom cooperates with me.

Thanks everyone. We marched all over the Marais on a snowy day in Paris. I totally ecstatic!

The detail work looks like wood...but imagine it's not.

Drive by shooting? ;-)

If you hadn't mentioned that this was in Birmingham, I'd have sworn you were posting pictures of the School of Art in Paris by the Jardin du Luxembourg. Cool brick work!

Indeed, beautiful details - details never seen in modern architecture. Sometimes it seems the further we move ahead the more we leave behind...and that's not always a good thing.

If I didn't know any better, I'd swear I was on your Paris blog looking at that cool brick building!

I just read Janet's comment. HA. Great minds and all that...
