Big Love

Many of you know that I have had a not so secret love affair with a neighbor's.......red truck for some time. I bared my soul about the whole thing here. Since then, he's been parked down the driveway, and I've had to admire him from afar. Sigh! Well on Friday during the snow, I drove by, wistfully glanced his way, and there he was, lightly dusted with snow. What did I do you ask? Well I pulled over, jumped out and marched right down the driveway, that's what! Looking even better with snow on his * fender!
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!

* Merci to my technical advisor Wayne, who assured me that "the humpy thing over the tire" was a fender, not a bumper.

Very, very nice, Virginia! Looks like your snow storm was manageable.

Well your t/a Wayne didn't let you down - of course. Looks like a dusting of powdered sugar, Sugar. Happy Valentine's Day V - all of us who appreciate this kind of thing have had our heart set a pitter-pat!

I'm surprised that hot red truck didn't make the snow sizzle right off....

Nice find, the snow adds some nice shape to the composition. Well done Virginia!

Oh, I like your taste in trucks. He's a mighty fine looking specimen. And I think you've caught him looking particularly fetching.

I'd be in love with this too, if I lived in your neighborhood! (And I'm trying not to LMAO... The "humpy thing"?!? Oh Lordy, V. You crack me up, darlin'!) Happy Valentine's Day! xo

Alabama got a feature role on A Prairie Home Companion this week thanks to the snow.

How fabulous this is. So beautifully decked out in snow to be your VAlentine. Love Paris too!

Maybe a fender is a bumper in England?

He's very handsome and I bet you made the snow melt off his fender! Happy Valentine's Day, Virginia!

Yes, it's our favorite red truck!!

I want that red truck, too. Probably isn't for sale, though...but also, I think you'd look better driving it, so you'd better jump when and if it goes up for sale!

Happy V Day!

Jacob,
Funny, I'm really not a truck girl at all. I think it's that vintage shaped and bright shiny red paint that does it for me! :)

W,
Well email what Prairie Home had to say!

JK,
I knew you'd get a chuckle somehow.

Bibi,
It's been a long time since I made anyone/thing SIZZLE! HA

Does your neighbor know about all his truck's portraits cruising the globe?
Such a neat picture!

I think they should be proud to have you feature Big Red - but if they came out and shook their fist at you I hope you would have stuck your tongue out at them and then run like hell.

Oh yes, they know about the first post. They have been very nice. Ain't love grand! :)

Happy Valentine's Day, Virginia.

Love the red truck sprinkled with snow. And wow, what smooth curves it has.

As kids we sat on the fender of the old Hudsons and DeSotos parked on the Bronx streets
