A Much Needed Burst of Color

These fibrant flowers by glass artist Dale Chihuly seem to explode from the walls of the Birmingham Museum of Art. A welcome sight when everything outside is still brown and bare.

Is there anyone who doesn't like Chihuly? His work is so identifiable and so beautiful. Julie of Scottsdale often features his work, and she should love this one. Your header today is great!

Very colorful images captured here.

The shapes are so organic and the colors so alive. This is such a beautiful image. And yes, V., with the exception of an occasional phrase (the woods are silent, dark, and deep=Frost) all the words are mine.

Chihuly! Lovely. You should ask Rob to go snap a picture of the permanent Chihuly in the lobby of Target's corporate headquarters in Minneapolis.

Now you know how i maintain my sanity ... a visit to the glass museum in Tacoma does wonders when I need a color fix!

Thanks for your compliment on the old tree. -:)

The lines in your glass wall are quite nice, I must say.

It's worth a trip to Las Vegas to see the Chihuly in the lobby of the Bellagio Hotel - and they have a shop there if your wallet will support a purchase. Mine hasn't - did buy a beautiful book 'tho. This great shot will do nicely until I can go back to visit. Thank you very much!
