Very lovely peaks, indeed! Fraternal twins!

Nice. Looks like the architect of the modern building took into account the surrounding architecture and mimicked it. Cool photo.

Two so different peaks.
I love the tiled one. It is so like the roof of the Franciscans in Jerusalem.

Nicely juxtaposed! I like the glass in the building just behind the bell tower, and all the geometry going on. Very fun shot.

May I add that I took this standing in the middle of the street while waiting in carpool line at my granddaughter's school. I have never noticed that gorgeous tiled roof on the bell tower till that day.
Amazing what you miss.

Old and new, wow, what a great composition! Ah, wait, isn't that setting a bad example for the school kids to stand in the middle of the street? ;)

Love this one with all that glass!

the tiles on the church steeple work as a nice contrast to the modern glass 'bricks' of the other building

I agree with everyone. I also like the lines etched by the windows. Pretty fancy bell tower for Presbyterians! ;-)

Ah, very nice symmetry and contrast. Architectural forms with an echo.

Wonderful contrast between the old and the new. The older one looks wonderful with the burnt orange.
Cheers.

I so love the view from the Elton B. Stephens Expressway of St Paul's twin spires and both peeks from whatever the modern building's name is. Of course, there is no way to take a photo from the freeway, but I always crane my neck to see the juxtaposition of old and new spires. This photo makes me sing!
