You Win Some, You Lose Some!

This is Laura Kate the "baby" in our family. She lost her first tooth which means that everybody is growing up! (Cousin Davis, who is one day older, is still hanging onto his.) I'll admit I'm a little sad. But, look at that face. She's pretty excited that the Tooth Fairy has come and gone and dropped $5. Times have changed! Happy Mother's Day to all my dear readers. I'm counting my blessings today, believe me.

Funny, how we are so happy to lose teeth as children, and so ticked-off as adults. Not that I have experience in that, you understand.

At $5 a tooth, she better come up with a solid investment strategy.

Happy Mumsie Day.

My nephew once came to his mom holding a sealed envelope and asked her if there really was a Tooth Fairy. She said, "Of course, why do you ask?" "Well, I put my tooth in an envelope under my pillow last night and nothing happened." "Well," said my sister, fighting back tears, "You need to tell your dad and me even though there is a Tooth Fairy. You should always tell dad and me. Why didn't you tell us?" "Well, you wouldn't have told me the truth, and," said my nephew, waiving the sealed envelope with a flourish, "I needed proof!"

She's a cute blessing. $5?! It seems the Tooth Fairy is keeping up with the cost of living.

Inflation his the tooth fairy business!

What a sweetie she is. And yes, they all grow up too fast. The worst of it is we grow too old as they grow too fast!

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

Yes, at $5 per tooth, that little smile will be expensive!

Perhaps she's starting a savings account to help her parents out in the event she ever needs orthodontia or teeth whitening...
