Afternoon in the Studio

We've visited my very dear friend and multi-talented artist, Kevin Irwin's charming studio before.  I really liked this view because the late afternoon light just illuminated her work table so well. For those of you who haven't met Kevin, she specializes in clay, glass, jewelry, and is a fine painter. Almost doesn't seem fair that one person can be so talented!  If you'd like to see more of her work that I've featured on my blog, go herehere, and here.

Kind of looks my office. Unfortunately, I'm not an artist.

Sounds more like a polymath to me...

I'm struck by how neat it is yet full of various projects. Kevin must be disciplined as well as talented.

Yes, Kevin is so multi-talented and what struck me on my first visit to her studio was how organized it was into the different areas of her expertise. Most artists I've found are pretty carefree in their workspace. Kevin's just fascinated me. I'm off for an open house of her work and other artists soon so maybe I'll have more photos for you!

Well, regarding the talent thing, the same could be said about you, V. It's always amazing to look at an artist's workspace. This is no exception. Is that a water view out the windows?
