The Star of Homewood

For as long as I can remember this star at the top of "the hill" in downtown Homewood has been a tradtion throughout the Christmas season. This view, looking north towards Birmingham captures Vulcan pointing the way!

Belle étoile! A Paris....il neige, il neige! Il fait très froid! Mieux vaut rester au chaud!

The star is a perfect crown for tiny little Vulcan there in the distance. Love the shot!

What a lovely thing ... last nite I was told 'you cant take a photo in here' .. I was in the lobby of my office building and I wanted a shot of the lovely silver stars hanging from the ceiling .. I never use a flash so I just pointed/shot .. the security guard said HEY you cant do that. I said I didnt, did you see a flash? And then I split ...

I've always loved the Homewood star, and the nativity at the Methodist church on Oxmoor.

I still miss Birmingham.

Where was your header? Mountain Brook?

Oh, you got a statue of Vulcan? Makes sense but I didn't know that. The statue looks like it's generated a miraculous display in the sky.
