Ghost Signs - In Living Color

This ghost sign in Edgewood, brings back some memories for me.  I hate to admit that I was around when color TV made its first appearance.  I love the "Color, Hi Fi, Portables"!

Well done, nostalgic shot. Who calls them color TVs any more? Who uses the word stereo? I remember my first portable radio, received for my birthday somewhere in late single digits - big as a good sized book, robin's egg blue. The first thing I listened to was a Yankees spring training game. It's still in the basement.

Oh yes, me too! Love this old sign. I adore old signs on walls, especially ones that fade like this.

Following on from Bob's comment - how about the word wireless or gramophone record? Reminds me, where are my spectacles?

I remember my grandparent's b&w TV very well. Cool old ad!

It was like magic wasn't it? I still remember seeing the green grass of a football game on TV for the 1st time.

Great shot Virginia. Despite the primary colors the washing out of them is fantastic. Nice find and good seen.

Well, I was already around when TV made its first appearence in Portugal in 1957(*)! LOL! Love those faded signs, we seldom see them here.

(*)We were living under a dictatorship and Salazar was against TV or any other way of getting the people informed although everything was censored those days...
