For most school systems in the Birmingham area, this was this was the last week of school. I'm sure students and teachers are kicking up their heels!!! ( As a former teacher I was always ready to kick mine up!)
AND.... I'm kicking my heels up as well because my dear dear blog buddy Paula has reignited her Pensacola Daily Photo Blog and I'm thrilled. Go by and say hello and welcome her back!

Oh! This is such a clear reminder of the city pool in my hometown. Thanks for the memory. I can even smell the chlorine.
il y a du bonheur dans cette photo, j'aime beaucoup
You photo is proof that kids have the most fun.
Great shot for the things to come in summer. Have fun.
Summer holidays approaching.

i love shots like that .. i staged such a shot a few summers ago .. enjoy the lovely long weekend .. wait, you're retired .. its all one long extended weekend!
i was always a little ambivalent about the last day. i loved school and hated contemplating all those weeks without it. what a weirdo i am.
Cool photo, literally! Thanks for the heads-up about Paula.
Summer is here!
If there's water, kids gotta splash it. That's the rule.
Who was it - fats Domino? - who sang Splish Splash when we were, um, young? (Call in the archaeologists.)
I notice that Paula is back, too, and have left a couple of comments. She's got some very good new work.
Love this! I, too, can almost smell the chlorine! And thanks for telling us about Paula being back.
Nothing better than sitting on the side of a pool on a hot day...anticipating the plunge into the cool water!!!
Well...nothing better except the end of school and the beginning of summer vacation!!!
