Feeling Modest?



Rodin's Jean d'Aire,  a nude study of this Burghers of Calais at the Birmingham Museum of Art, peers out through the trees in the sculpture garden.

I know one very well of that series, Pierre de Weissant, at the Israel Museum. Rodin's work on that series of sculptures was outstanding.

This fellow looks bashful at the moment!
