I traveled to Greensboro, Georgia last week to visit dear friends Corey and John Crouse. While there, Corey took us on a little historic field trip to Scull Shoals, located between Greensboro and Athens. Once a thriving mill community, the ruins of a former warehouse building are all that remain on the site in the Oconee National Forest. Great photo ops.

It has a bit of a spooky atmosphere. No one sneaking around wearing a hockey goalie mask, I hope.
The ruins have a real beauty to them.
