I spent Sunday in Harpersville, just a hop, skip and a jump south of town. I thrilled to be asked to photograph the day with the Alabama Trust for Historic Preservation's event at The Chancellor House. This historic home is a delight inside and the grounds and gardens as well. Barbara Adkins has lovingly restored her family's 1840's home and furnished it with wonderful antiques, many from her fabulous Black Sheep Antiques in town. Chef Scott Peacock was the featured speaker and signed his wonderful southern cookbook, The Gift of Southern Cooking. Stay tuned for many photos to come.

Thank you for sharing! The Chancellor Place holds special memories for me. Ms. Patsy Graham is the one who I remember residing in the home. She was a family friend and my 4th grade teacher. I have special memories going with my mother and grandmother for afternoon visits. Looking forward to seeing pictures. I live in Tuscaloosa now but would love to tour the house again. Please post any upcoming special occasion which would give me the opportunity.
