It's often said that the best things in life are free. For those who struggle to make ends meet or are homeless, this is especially true. How fortunate there are places across this city who feed the hungry.
Highlands United Methodist Church offers breakfast 6 days a week. A blessing in our community.

There is an Episcopal church in the city that puts on a big dinner on Saturday they call Peace Meal. Our daughter, who has commercial food prep experience, takes a turn managing it. Worth every effort.
I pick up a trunk load bread every Monday from a group of bakeries and then drop it off at a food shelf. Many needs for homeless and poor people; I count my blessings every week.
