Oh Fiddle Dee Dee!


Fiddleheads or fiddlehead greens are the furled fronds of a young fern, and these guys are springing up all over town. I love them!

Think Pink, Think Spring

I know. I know. We might get another little, weird spring snow or freeze. I prefer to relish the tulips that are popping up and saying a little prayer they will continue to flourish!

Birmingham At Its Best


It would be criminal if I didn't post some gorgeous azaleas celebrating spring in Birmingham. Every neighborhood is bursting with these colorful blooms. I never tire of them. Enjoy.

Rooftop Garden



This house in my neighborhood has taken the term "rooftop garden" to a whole new level.  During the warmer months there's always a nice field of green grass up there but the red tulips this spring were an added attraction.
