Today is Good Friday for Christians around the world. I thought these simple porcelain bisque crosses  adorned with dogwood blossoms were a nice reminder of this day.

I discovered these three beautifully carved crosses at the Plant Odyssey on 6th Avenue South on Birmingham's Lakeview District.  Libby has owned this nursery for many years and has a loyal following.  You can't miss the shop.  With it's quirky  pointed roof, it looks more like something out of Hansel and Gretel.  We'll come back another day and you can meet Augustus.  You're going to love him!
