Sunset on Fish River

* Today Jean takes you to south Alabama near Mobile. Enjoy your little field trip with her.

Whenever I’m on vacation at the beach or near the water, my favorite time of day is sunset! These sunset photos were taken from my friend’s home on the Fish River in south Alabama in Baldwin County near Mobile. The palette of colors can change so drastically from day-to-day! What a gorgeous view!

Thanks to all who have visited Virginia's Birmingham DP site---or passed through enroute to the Paris blog. I've been away for a week or so and haven't had access to a computer---so I haven't left any pertinent comments. It has been a treat for me to sub for Virg. Thanks for the support from all her followers and supporters! Jean Reed

Yes, the Fish River is a beautiful River. Ir opens into Weeks Bay and Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Last weekend I watched 20 or so boats pass by in a matter of 10 minutes. The weekend is packed with skiers, wake boarders, pleasure boaters, and families on all day outings. The weekedays one finds more river rats and fishemen around! Alabama is fortunate to have many beautiful rivers! Jean Reed

It looks very tranquil. If there are skiers in the vicinity I don't suppose it's always this calm.
