My friend Chuckeroon at Richmond Upon Thames Daily Photo does photos from time to time that he has titled "Bar Fly". I always enjoy the bars/taverns he surreptitiously ( or maybe not) photographs. He was my inspiration for this shot. Last Friday night I went back to the Bottle Tree with my friends Sis and Bill. Bill's a photographer too. Unlike 'roon, we blatantly whipped out our cameras and had a mini photo shoot right there. The younger set tolerates us, and we do appreciate that! You know from previous photos here, that the Bottle Tree is a fun and funky place. Today...... more proof!

to answer your question about the debris: i think it must be spontaneous. didn't see any orgnized group of people doing it. (i could see the location from the window of my office.)
Reminds me of a country version of the downstairs bar at '21' where they hang all sorts of business related icons that look like kid's toys from the ceiling

Yes, live music although I've never been there for that. If you look on my previous post, you'll see the big screen that they show old TV shows and movies on when there's no live music. I love that!

It is a great place, isn't it? I have avoided it at night so as not to intrude on the young ones, but I'll give it a try some time.

I think bottle trees must be an American 'thing'. My friend in Ohio has one - blue bottles. In fact i sent her some French blue bottles (not the flies!) and they survived the journey. What colours in this photo! Fabulous.
