Portraits From My Heart - The High Fives

Go ahead and say it. I'm guilty as charged for dragging my little darlings on my blog again. Well the "babies" have turned five within a day of each other, and we need to celebrate, right?? For those of you who think that being their Mumsie makes it easier to get photos, think again. I'll let you decide which one is the ham and which one would rather clean up his room than smile for the camera! A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY my Davis and Laura Kate. It seems like only yesterday that both of you were born, a day apart, in the same hospital, and your moms were on different floors at St. Vincent's Hospital. Whew, that was a trip!

(The sentiments expressed on my grandson's shirt do not reflect those of the management!)

Boys will be boys!

Girls will be girls!

BLOG WORD A DAY

I was sure Biz Stone had a word for bloggers that shamelessly feature their grandchilden but couldn't find it . Maybe some of you clever readers ( Marley?) can come up with a suitable word. Go ahead, dish it out, I can take it!

what a joyful expression you captured in these photos, V!

Happy birthday, Davis and Laura! May you both grow to be a fine man and woman and the pride of your families.

I share management's sentiments though I would express them in more earthy tones.
Theme Day approaches-contrast. I am as buffaloed as ever trying to come up with something. Cheers!

Oh B2, I use much earthier tones around here, believe me! Thanks for the reminder about Theme Day. For the love! I can never get it together for that. Now let me go dig in the stash and see if I can make something fit.

Photos are wonderful. I am always pleased to see photos of bloggers' family members!

Looks as though many of us have lost our "followers" photos and list. Blogspot can often be quite annoying. Oh, well! A fresh start is always a good exercise!

a bloggy word for promoting something in your blog is pimpin' but that just sounds so wrong related to children. can we just say beautiful?

they are adorable! you should be (and I know you are) so proud!

They're delightful!!! And I think I vote for BLOGGRAMMER! Great word!!! I love how you captured their expressions!

What I want to know is if you've started your child portrait business yet?

If not, you need to get going because you're depriving a lot of people out of some excellent portraits of their children!

Super work V! Of course, having beautiful grandkids helps!

Jacob,
Not enough money in the world for that business. I do a few for friends but as a "real business" nah. Too stressful! I have the grandkids, well all but Davis, trained and they are a piece o cake. IT's a tough way to make some money!

Char,
Yep, pimpin' won't work with kids! HA

Okay V, but I'm just saying, you got what it takes!

The T-shirt message doesn't translate at this distance but you could consider something like BLOGMA for your special word.

I agree: taking portrais of people's children for a living would turn out to be soul-destroying: parents are dang-difficult to satisfy.

I think this makes you a Grandblogger!
Cute kids!

HAR! RR, love that , merci! I'm going out tomorrow to harvest kudzu for some wine making! :)

Julie,
Bama, as much as I hate to publicize it, refers to the Univ. of Alabama. Davis' dad is a graduate. His mom and I are Auburn grads. It's not a pretty rivalry! HA

Awesome portraits V, and I'm not saying that just because you're all related! Happy birthday to Davis and Laura Kate! (BTW, love the mosaic photo you currently have as your header.)

Grandblogger is a pretty cool name :-)

I'm happy to add my own congratulations to the long list ahead of me. I think Jacob is right, you really have a way with kids photos!

Happy birthday to both children - isn't it wonderful for them to have a cousin the same age - and a wonderful grandmother to boot?
