at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
This is a photo from last spring at the gardens. I found this group of nuns on a guided tour, just delightful.
As a photogrpaher, I liked the contrast of their garments and their hands. Their habits, had a nice rhythm I thought.

Very beautiful.
Oooh, that is wonderful. It's not often anymore that you see a nun still dressed this way.
An unusual scene because the nuns have gotten out of the habit!
This is a remarkable composition, V. A prize-winner in my humble opinion.
I don't get to see nuns around here hardly ever anymore. (Except when we watch our "Sound of Music" video)
Lovely shot Virginia.

Were these nuns United-States-ian? It's so rare to see someone in full habit nowadays!
Perfect subject for a black-and-white photo. :)
Having caught some of The Sound of Music on TV the other evening .. this now has me humming ...
You're in the habit of taking great photos!
wonderful shot V!!! This would go well with Jilly's two of the priests hands...
There's something very peaceful about seeing nuns and priests in their religious garb...that not even the problems of late in the church can diminish...
At first I thought these nuns might be from The Shrine of the Most Blesses Sacrament in Cullman, AL. After reading about them, I discovered they are a cloistered order so I'm not sure now.
Did you have to chase them down like you did that poor priest at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament? ;-)
J,
No I just hid and shot!
