WHAT??

Well you Yankees can keep your white Christmases.  We had our very own yesterday, right here in Alabama!  I'll  admit it was my first one in Birmingham...ever!!!  And it was just the way we like it, pretty but didn't stick on the roads.
 Sing it Bing!

Virginia, I thought I was right in saying that I'd never experienced a white Christmas before. Thanks for backing my memories up.

I spent the night in Madison. The snow stuck to everything there, but the roads cleared enough for us to drive home in the afternoon. I got home to find some snow left for me here in Clay.

Hope yours was a Merry Christmas!

Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. He brought this beautiful snow to Alabama and he brought baby brattcat to us from england. Today we'll celebrate with the two brattcat children a brown and glorious christmas in brattleboro.

A light dusting of snow would make this Yankee totally satisfied...who needs the mountains already visited upon us? I like the spots of red in the photo.

Kate,
I'm sure you are all sick of the white stuff by now in Minnesota!!

Brattcat,
How wonderful that you had her home for the holidays.

Maya,
Yes it is. It's snowing again this am and the roads are slick. No church for me today.

Costas,
Amazing that we had a white Christmas!

steviewren,
Glad you got home safely. H eard the roads north of us were pretty bad.

My sentiments exactly - pretty, but it won't last. Unfortunately for Augusta, our snow missed Christmas, arriving this morning.

I'm with you on the snow. Unfortunately it's back today.

Lovely V!!! But can you really call that little dusting snow??? It really isn't snow until you've got at least two feet on the ground!!! HeeHee!!! It's not so bad, really!!! As long as the roads are plowed....I think I like it better than sloshing about in the rain!!!

Your header is especially beautiful! I've seen snow in Bham, as much as 15 in. in March of '93 - do you remember that one?

My husband thought he saw a couple of flakes down here in Daphne, but maybe it wasn't snow! ;-)

Ha ha - the security word is echains - need real ones in snow!

V, Beautful photo.....in the meantime we're just floating away out here. It's let up off and on but is supposed to be back Wednesday. I am hoping it'll hold off and dry out a bit. I am worried about our fire area friends - in the meantime you stay inside with a warm toddy and keep cozy!

Fantastic! We didn't get a white Christmas down here, but I guess you could say it was a mud Christmas! Cold, cold rain mixed with a few snowflakes that created mud everywhere.

The perfect kind of white Christmas: pretty, unexpected and gone the next day.
