You betcha! But see, this is why I don't like antique shops - everything in there is stuff I grew up with. Which, makes me an antique, too, of course! Yikes!
Lately I don't have the time that I want to visit all blogs that I like. Unfortunately life style and time constrictions do not allow me to do that anymore. For that my apolagies.
Great antique, but it's interesting how many home owners are going green and ditching their gas-powered mowers. Our lawn is small enough for an electric mower so I think that would be my choice, but since my grandson cuts our lawn for us I don't have to worry too much about human energy power.

Yep, I spent many an hour pushing one of these things back and forth, back and forth, back and forth across the lawn. I now have a 6hp self propelled mower to push back and forth, back and forth, back and forth across the lawn. (sigh)
As I was growing up it never occured to me that I would ever look at a push mower as being a relic. (Or that I would ever look at myself as one either...but that day is coming, damn fast.)

I think the sepia is perfect!
Sometimes we still see these in use. Now they are eco-friendly!
Mr. Brattcat uses one of these every week of summer.
Oh ya... pushed one a lot. There wasn't a lot of grass to do.
Never saw one like that but my late MIL had one slightly more 'modern' that ToonMan pushed hard to mow the grass ..
Did that in younger days!
Hi Virginia! Always awesome images.

We were spoiled. We had a mower you could ride.
Lovely monochrome image, V!

Ad, Make no apologies. We all have times when life interrupts blogging visits! ha
Rob, Self propellied mowers, one of life's best inventions! I remember getting my first one. Heaven!
Hiker, I can just see you tearing around the yard in that one.

Greetings from the Amish settlement of Lebanon,Pa. Have a very nice weekend everyone. Richard from Amish Stories.
Once in a very great while I'd help with one of these at my grandmother's house. It was such a novelty to a city kid I thought it was fun.
I used to have to push one of those when I went to Granny's house. :)
