Jefferson County Courthouse
Yesterday I had to tackle a job I've put off for too long. I needed a tag for my new car. Jefferson County has experienced some "unfortunate cutbacks" so that means *long waits. I decided that I'd make the best of it and packed my iPod and camera and set off at daybust. As I exited the building, the guards graciously allowed me a few quick shots!
* On good advice from my daughter Melissa, I was there at 8:00 when they opened and it went surprisingly well!

It really looks 30s and completely beautiful. Love the painting. It looks like something between Art Deco and the murals inside the Coit Tower in SFO.

What a beautiful juxtaposition of painting and light. I so like both but I'd steal that lamp...! When I go to museums these days I take my tiny Olympus XZ-1 (wide angle) which opens to f.17 and it's great for indoor shots and you can get away with shooting ... well they normally don't see. Of course it's great if you get permission!
