Yesterday I had a delightful photo assignment. I paid a visit to the
New Merkle House Senior Center in the Cahaba Heights neighborhood of Vestavia Hills. I got there just in time to observe a fine game of Rummikub and dominoes! After watching this spirited game, I was invited to play a round with the experts. This nice gentlemen helped me along, but as I was reminded that after this first game that would not be allowed! Now maybe I can take on my grandchildren and have half a chance!

Virginia these are so beautiful! Love them. Have a great weekend!
Would like to hear the stories those hands in the first photo could tell - I bet she has seen a lot over the years and still has the sass to wear bright nail polish! Great shots!

Ha! I'll stick to Candyland!
Oh ya, fine images.
Frightening, isn't it? We're old-ish, they are older than us and they can beat the pants off us at this kind of thing. Love the hands and fingernail polish it the top pic.
Red was one more time on your mind in the first picture! :-)
My mother, who is 88, is in a home here in Serbia near me. I brought her here since it's the same care and a lot cheaper. She LOVES to play both Rummikub and Scrabble, and fortunately, so do I. She doesn't want help either.
there's always so much to learn and what a fine group of teachers you had here.
Love those hands. Never heard of the game. My bad...

I've heard of the game, but never played it!!! And yes those hands have experienced a lot of life!!! Wonderful shots V!
