Remembering

I had another post chosen for today, but I went back over my photos from Birmingham's Mercedes Marathon and found this.  I think it fitting for today as we mourn those lost and injured in Boston, not just the runners, but all those that planned it and made it happen, the volunteers , and those that cheered them on.

A horrible pointless attack at such joyfull event. Feel so sorry for all the poor injured people.

Thank You mom! It has really shaken our running community here in Birmingham. I hope you can make it tomorrow night to the run. I have a feeling it is going to be an enormous show of solidarity, and strength. Whoever did this, has no clue of the grit that it is within a runner. I have been off an on running since Brad passed away, two years now. My life has been stressful with out my running therapy! Tomorrow evening will be a new day for many like myself!!! Love You!-Kat

I'm so angry and depressed over all this. My son has run the Chicago marathon twice and will probably do it again in the fall. Just the thought . . .
