This week, right here in Birmingham, the
USGA Mid-Amateur Championship Golf Tournament is in full swing at
The Country Club of Birmingham, Oct. 5-10. Admission is free, so you golf lovers out there need to make plans to stop by. I was there Saturday for the opening, and the course looks great. Please check the links for more information.

Nice form. I am going up to Massachusetts on Wednesday to play my last northern round before starting the drive down to Florida next Monday.
Precise shot and perfect timing. The high contrast works really well, too. So does the triangular composition. Just good stuff.
