Birmingham schools will be starting up in just a week or so. Don't ask me to share how I feel about starting school in early August. When the students at Glen Iris Elementary in the B'ham School System get back in the swing of things, I'll just bet they will be anxious to finish this wonderful mosaic in the school garden. I'd love to revisit when it's done and share the finished product!

It is a pretty design.
I have no idea what the rationale is for starting school so early. We started right after Labor Day. My kinds went to a college that had a quarter system. The school year started in early October and ended about the second week of June. Much more civilized.
