I Love Okra

I love it boiled, I love it fried, but now I love it DRIED!  Thank you Cindy and Charlie Thigpen for letting me roam your great Garden Gallery at the Pepper Place in search of photos. Not only that, I got to bring some home!

I don't think I've ever had it.

Okra was unheard of when I was growing up in NY. Carolyn or her family in Kansas make it once in a while. I have mixed feelings about it, something about that slipperiness. Maybe best fried.

I love it as much as you do. And I experienced the dried variety on our last trip to NC. One of the many things I miss about the States... it's not to be found here.
