Simple Pleasures

I'll confess right here, I"m a garden shop junkie. I am already a frequent flyer at local garden shops in Mt. Brook, Crestline, Homewood and Southside. Now I can add, my Forest Park neighbors, Shoppe Birmingham. I'll remain true to all of them, but right now I'm loving the photo ops (not to mention the gifts) at Shoppe Birmingham. 

Deck the Trees!

 Leaf n Petal at the Summit has these wonderful trees. They aren't your usual but the wide spaced branches make decorating easy.  Tis the season!

I Love Okra

I love it boiled, I love it fried, but now I love it DRIED!  Thank you Cindy and Charlie Thigpen for letting me roam your great Garden Gallery at the Pepper Place in search of photos. Not only that, I got to bring some home!

Sweet!

Sweet Pea's Garden Shop in Homewood, always makes me smile. This time of year it's in full blown color. See?

Don't Fly Away!

Last Saturday, my friend Charlie Thigpen helped me chase this guy all over the garden at his fabulous shop,  Garden Gallery at the Pepper Place. I finally caught him resting on this lovely purple flower.

It reminded me that I should try macro shots more often, like my friends Costas here and Abe Lincoln here.
