Sexy?

I'm exploring new avenues with my photography and this curvaceous column on Birmingham's Massey Building caught my eye with renewed interest. Amazing  how marble can be so fluid and yes...sexy.

Sunday Church Series - Column Detail

I have been invited by my church, Independent Presbyterian Church, to exhibit some of my photographs for the annual Religious Arts Festival.  I've chosen a collection of Birmingham and Paris/French churches.  As I was selecting, I found this from the beautiful Holy Trinity-Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church here on Birmingham's southside.

The Columns - Temple Emanu-el

If you are a follower of this blog you know how much I love the most ornate columns Birmingham has to offer. Today we return to Temple Emanu-el for a look at details of some of the most beautiful columns in this city.

I liked the top photograph because it captured the Star of David as well. The bottom photo speaks for itself. Sorry, I couldn't choose.

Column Detail

One of downtown Birmingham's most beautiful churches is the Cathedral Church of the Advent. I have enjoyed photographing it on many occasions. This week I am donating three of my photographs for the Silent Auction as part of their fundraiser for the Advent Day School.  These are two of the photographs I am offering.  It is a privilege to be able to share my talents in order to benefit such worthy causes in my community.
