Fall in the Gardens

Yes, it gets really hot a humid here in the summer but you can't beat the rest of the year in Birmingham. Taken just a week ago, the Birmingham Botanical Gardens was still lush , despite no rain, and gorgeous at the end of September!

Christopher Glen, in Homewood, has a marvelous selection of outdoor containers and statuary.  A walk through these beautiful doors, one finds many delights. I'll share more from time to time. Oh, and inside the shop, lovely antiques, lamps and collectibles as well!

The Garden Gate

While driving through the Edgewood neighborhood behind Homewood Park last week, this gorgeous bevined (don't try this on Words With Friends, I made it up) gate caught my eye. A u-turn was in order. What lies beyond?  I know. I took a peek.
