Light And Shadows



This tranquil spot near the lily pond at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens always draws my eye. The light and shadows of the wrought iron tables and chairs are hard to resist.

This is probably the first CDP Theme Day that I've not participated in since I joined up with this wacky and talented group of daily photobloggers.  The theme this month was "Public Transportation" and my choice was so lame I just couldn't bring myself to use it. Vintage Settee


Old painted wrought iron pieces are very common in southern yards. Granted they are not the most comfortable, but they are long on charm! I found this vintage piece at the Children's Fresh Air Farm recently. It was in a cool shady spot by a pretty little fountain near the children's garden plots.
