Stranger #91
Last Saturday my friend Karen and I crammed a whole lot into one day. We started out at the Pepper Place, did a little shopping, had lunch at Zoe's, and ended up at the Bluff Park Art Show. One of Birmingham's oldest and most respected art shows, it was a grand way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon. I saw artists that I've known for years and met a few new ones. And may I congratulate my friend Leo Ticheli, who won a blue ribbon for one of his photographs! I also met Atlanta photographer Lorrie Dallek as well. I regret I didn't get a photo of Lorrie. Please visit her website and treat yourself to her amazing photographs! Birmingham readers, you can find her work at Jennifer Hunt Gallery.
Print artist - Debra Riffe from Birmingham
Debra's linoleum block relief prints are wonderful! I loved getting to talk with her. Please visit her website.

deux superbes portraits en b&w, avec une préférence avec le premier, j'aime l'ombre
Wow, 100 strangers! Quite a challange! These portraits look nice!
Pixellicious Photos
Great b&w photos, Virginia. People definitely suit your eye.
V-I think you should be in the show next year. These are some great portraits.
Two more intriguing faces! 92---you're almost there....
#91 looks like ZZTop .. ;-]
Daryl,
Around here, it could be ZZ! :)
You call them "100 strangers challenge" but how many are really strangers to you? lol
No 91 is one of the ones (!) I really like the most of your serie. The personality of the individual passing through the picture probably.
Now these are both excellent portraits...I especially like the old guy (probably 'cause I can relate!)...
Super job, V.
Good luck with your blog-a-thon.
I like today's portraits. They look like interesting strangers, the kind you'd like to make friends.
You are really getting very good with those portraits!
To answer about my post it was taken in a Brooklyn brasserie and if you wanted a translation of well done I would say "Bien joué".
Enjoy the day.
wonderful shots. the blog-a-thon sounds like a great project.
stranger 91 is my kind of guy!
Hi Virginia, (touchez!) you recognize me in photo whit Fabrizio!

Livio,
Yes, Fabrizio can handle the chocolat and you my friend can work on the buckets of Prosecco!! :)
Thérèse,
You are right, a lot of them start out as strangers but end up being nice new friends shortly!
OLivier, I actually worried a little about the shadows but decided to use it anyway because he was so interesting!
I am so impressed by your 100 strangers challenge...I've yet to really get started out on that project...almost took the plunge today but missed the chance...you inspire me!!! Next time...I'll take that plunge!!!
wv: guingey...how I feel when I think about approaching someone for the 100 stranger challenge!!!
Great stranger shots as usual! It looks like you are nearing 100! Will you continue after that milestone?
Two wonderful portraits, Virginia!!
