Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Yep, it's still raining. I've done the mushroom/toadstool thing. May I add that Serge Virot, my French mushroom expert, reports that he couldn't make a ruling on the species I posted here. That said, I guess we won't be picking any for a nice mushroom quiche!

Today, in the rain, I visited my friend Billy Angell's Oak Street Garden Shop and Market. I had to tuck my camera inside my rainjacket at times, but you know raindrops are a photographer's dream. Have a look. BTW, the header is courtesy of Billy's place as well!

You're wishing it would go away, and we are happy it's here. It hadn't rained here for a looooong time until last night.

Love your pumpkin.

Such a patina to the pumpkin. (Oh, I wish I could tell a good mushroom. We get so many out here after a good rain -- what a waste.)

Next time we get some mushrooms here I'll take some shots for you, V. Maybe you can figure them out. In the mean time, I'll just enjoy these pretty shots.

Could you send us some rain. We haven't got any all summer long... no monsoon over Chandler this year!

Are they anemic? Got at by those Southern Vampires. Rain, tell me about it. All it seems to do here. Think my mojo is kicking in.

This is the sort of pumpkin known in Australia as a Queensland Blue. Very tough outer skin.

Nice shots.

I like how raindrops make everything look bejewelled.

Soft rain, (water) and hard rain (snow), time to crack a bottle of red and watch the show.
