Artist in Bloom

Move over Leonardo, I saved the best for last.  This budding artist was creating her own masterpiece, and I was lucky enough to capture her in the act.  Is she adorable or what??
"Every child is an artist.  The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."
Pablo Picasso.

Today's Tune du Jour is "Clementine" by Pink Martini.

The talent does not expect the number of years ... a future artist, she has a beautiful smile. Bravo

This looks like my little sister.. or well it did.. she's 19 now! I used to love tying those big bows in her hair!

I posted something at Volia Vintage that you will like!

Aw! She doesn't look much older than my little girl -- who is another budding artist. What a great photo, Virginia. I've really enjoyed this series.

She as potential!!! :-)

A beautiful little girl who loves what she is doing. She is getting a lot more attention than she would if playing dolls.

What a sweetie. Love the colors on her work, and on her shirt, too!

She is gorgeous and very talented too. I love that little shirt she's wearing too...

Betcha she is, as my Aussie friends would say!

What a delightful child!

From a photographic point of view, although the smile and face are stunningly bright and beautiful, I find the white ribbon a bit obtrusive.

Virginia, you say you'll be in Paris in November - Any chance of coming down to Provence ?

Virginia said...

Nathalie, oh that we would have the time to come to Provence! Every day when I look at your beautiful photographs, I want to come more and more. Maybe another trip! Merci. Oh, and about the bow. Little girls in the south wear lots of bows. I wasn't touching this one! I was just thrilled to be getting to catch a quick snap of that smile!

PS just left you an answer on my blog.
And I forgot to say that I love the choice of music(though maybe it should have been: Thank Heaven for Little Girls!

My music selections have come to a near halt. There is some kind of prob with Deezer and I can't get access to most of their tunes. Anyone know how to get around that or know of another site that has players?? VJ the DJ can't go out of the tune du jour business now!!!

Bibi,
Thanks. I am planning on going downtown and shooting a photo from that same corner and sending it to Marie Reed. What a great surprise this morning to see that vintage postcard of B'ham, all the way from France.

You caught her at the right moment.

I bow to the genius in front of me. Look at all the colors. This artist is working the canvas. Beautiful in every way. Merci Virginia! Also, like the Picasso quote. Ciao for now.;-)

Virginia...clicked on your blog from Ken Mac's 9/11 photo today. Love your photographs. I am a retired art teacher, love photography, have 4 grandchildren, live on a horse farm, have hosted 5 students from France, the last one from Paris. Interesting!

What a sweet sweet photo! You do SUCH a fabulous job with portraits, as I've said before. And yes, what fun to see the Birmingham postcards over at Marie's!

Her work of art is interesting but the artist is gorgeous!

Two artists, one creating art, the other capturing art. Adorable, YES! I am sure she will enjoy the Louvre and D'Orsay one day.
