Stairway to.......First Avenue?

Historic Morris Avenue, in downtown Birmingham,  is one quaint cobblestoned place.  This stairway  leads to Birmingham's First Avenue North.

I'd want to see what there is up to these stairs and I'm so happy to know everything has been going well for our lovely Lilly.

It is a kind of mystery. What is at the top of these stairs?

Doesn't it get kind of scary?

I've seen this photo by others, but I LOVE your light.

I love stairs...I have one staircase I've been saving; perhaps soon!

Lovely light here.

Thanks to you I've learned a new word, now I know what 'cobblestone' is! Great 'Jack the Ripper' atmosphere! :-)))

I can easily imagine without light! :)

A well lit passage with a nice glow to it. But I still wouldn't walk through there at night.

JM,
Do you have cobblestoned streets in Portugal?

W,
Oh I do it on a regular basisHA

Eeyore,
Every photography class in B'ham has been here. This was beginner's luck. The first field trip with my new SLR on Manual. An archives shot for sure.

i like the suggestive red light in the foreground, then the clean white light on the way out. Multiple moods!

Is First Avenue heaven?

My word, swear in eight different languages, is praye.

I don't here Led Zeppelin singing about heaven so First Avenue it is. It feels like it could be the stairs from the clubhouse to the field of that great old baseball stadium of yours.

I took 1,178 snaps at the St. Patrick's Day parade here Saturday. I should have my head examined.

Bob,
WHAT???? I took that many in a week in Paris. I think an intervention might be in order. I'll change my mind when I see your photos I'm sure. More whackos I suppose????

I'm about ready to resurrect some of those baseball stadium shots from the archives!
