Earlier this week we visited
The Cantina. Well step right next door and visit
O Kafés! Coffee House. Also housed in the old Martin Biscuit Building on 2nd Avenue South, this was the perfect spot to spend a very rainy morning with friends. I've been buying coffee from their stand at the
Pepper Place Market for years, but this was my first visit to their new coffee house. Oh, I'll be back!
Pleasel check out their website for info concerning live music, coffee beans and a lot more!
Breaking News! I am pleased to announce that two of my Paris portraits are being featured on
Parisien Salon.com!! This is a beautiful site and I hope you will give it a look.

sympathique le petit coin avec ces fauteuils. cela donne envie de boire un petit expresso
Looks like a great place for a Saturday morning cup of coffee!
Thanks for sharing!
I wish I was sitting in that red chair right now having coffee. Instead I'm sitting at home without any splenda for my coffee, about rush off to teach my 5th graders some math. I need coffee! I need that red chair!
Looks like a god place to start the day.
The first picture looks like "irreal" to me...
Coffee? I am ready to jump in the red chair and stay there for a good chat "en français bien sur et sans rire Virginia... promis."
Thérèse,
Oh you would, you wouldn't be able to help yourself!
C'est dommage.
Olivier,
Avec moi? :)
Misty,
I couldn't teach math to fifth graders. Too advanced !HA
they do have such wonderful coffee
Another excellent coffee recommendation but damn they charge a lot for shipping ...
Oh, I'd love to go there! I'll bet they have chicory coffee, too. That's a Southern treat I miss and never find in LA.
Love the ambience here...great meeting place for a cup of coffee and friendly chit chat...any time of day!!!
Virginia...your photos are making me want to make the trek from California to Birmingham...one of these days I want to do an extended driving trip throughout the States...maybe when my hubby joins me in retirement!!!
Congratulations my dear, well deserved!
