Art Camp Rocks!!

What could be more fun than to spend a week or so of your summer vacation at the Birmingham Museum of Art for ART CAMP!!! Darn, I wish I could have been small/young enough to join in the fun this past summer. I found this little guy sketching that sculpture one day when I should have been working my shift in the Museum Store, but was sneaking around with my camera. Shhhh, don't tell!

I sneak around with my camera, too; not to worry. I accompanied our Kindergarten classes here at school to the ethnographic museum downtown and it was fun to watch the kids' reactions, see their drawings, etc.

Quelle bonne idée d'emmener des enfants au Musée!
Ce petit garçon est en train de dessiner ces deux sculptures!

What a great idea. I think you're ahead of the west coast on this one.

My lips are sealed. Love the kid's posture. He is really into it.

What a wonderful educational opportunity for these kids. You were on your break, right? Certainly not taking advantage of your official access ...... -:)
