It's the first day of the month and that means my fellow City Daily Photoblog friends are all posting this month's theme.......Street Lamps.
I immediately thought of these fabulous old lanterns that still hang from one of Birmingham's vintage buildings. The Florentine Building
, built around 1925, has some remarkable terra cotta details, and although the upstairs is now vacant, at least it's still standing!
Street lamp and details around are such a treat to look at.
Aren't they lovely? Nice shot!
Duncan In Kuantan
its odd but the cdp site doesnt have the linky up for august ....
Love it! Very elegant!
Very ornate. If it is still lit, it must project a very warm glow.
These lights, and the building, have class.
Hopefully they can find a tenant for the vacant floors.
Stunning! And, the building looks stunning too.
These are among the best for the theme!
Very beautiful lamps!
A wonderful choice for the theme!
That's magnificent. The lantern looks like it might erupt.
