Here We Come A Caroling
The Jacksons open their beautiful home to the neighbors every Christmas. This year we came in droves even though James Spann said there could be high winds. We decided with food galore and plenty of wine and egg nog, we could weather the storm together. There are always plenty of cute kiddos. Tonight was no exception.

The Birmingham Zoolight Safari knocks itself out during the Christmas season. The carousel is always a favorite.

Angels We Have Heard on High
The fifth grade Christmas Pageant at Independent Presbyterian Church is so sweet and brings back many childhood memories. Thankfully, it has remained unchanged over the years, except the bathrobes worn my the shepherds have been upgraded. My favorite part is when the angel lowers the STAR down on a rope. Nothing high tech about this pageant!Warmest wishes to all of my dear readers who celebrate Christmas this day. May this be a special time with family and friends.

Here We Come A-Caroling
A caroling party in my neighborhood is an evening I look forward to each Christmas for many reasons. It's a glorious mix of talented pianists, joyful voices singing Christmas carols, delicious food and drink, and the gathering of old and new neighbors of all ages. Thank you Sam and Carolyn for opening your home to us!

What can I give Him..
Charlotte Woodson Antiques, Mt. Brook Village
...poor as I am?
If I were a shepherd, I would bring a lamb;
If I were a Wise Man, I would do my part;
Yet what can I give Him...give my heart.

A Time to Reflect
My friend Petrea at Pasadena Daily Photo does a Zen Monday on her blog each week. I'm declaring this Zen Thursday! I don't know about ya'll but right about now I need to stop and do what my yoga instructor India tells us, " Inhale deeply, now exhale slowly." She also reminds us not to clench our teeth!! This week I think I've done that more than once. So today, we take a break for the frantic, frenzied, fun and festivities of this season. May we all take deep breaths, enjoy this peaceful scene and refocus our thoughts on the true meaning of this season.
