SKYWATCH FRIDAY/ TWO THINGS CHALLENGE Blue & Green

This fountain is in the centerpiece  of historic Linn Park and the downtown area.  One of the first parks built in Birmingham,  it is the site of City Stages and the Magic City Art Connection to name just a few.  It is surrounded by City Hall, the Jefferson County Courthouse, Birmingham Museum of Art and Boutwell Auditorium.  I have been saving this one and today seemed the perfect time to post it,  because it showcases a lovely blue sky for my Skywatch Friday entry and the colors of Blue and Green meeting the challenge this week as well.  I covered all my bases with one photo!

For more participants of Skywatch Friday click here.  Two Things Challenge participants are here.

TOMORROW...... Have I really been at this for 100 DAYS  ?????

The Tune du Jour is back.  "Aquarius" by the Fifth Dimension should be a nice backdrop to this lovely fountain.

That gushing fountain element against the clear blue sky is definitely a plus, plus, plus, V! I like it.

You sure did do them both! Here the water is falling down, not shooting up...

By combining, I would not say that you are cheating, just being clever!

I have a little bit of free time today so I thought I'd cruise by your blog to say hello. Miss you but I'll be back, hopefully before February when we're going to Mexico again for a few months.

The fountain looks like a great place to rest, reflect, and relax. Your photo does it well!

Wonderful. I can see that we're showing the same blue sky! (just got a huge storm actually, got home soaking wet this afternoon. That was a surprise!!!

Re the ferris wheel, I have to confess that I was scared to death. I actually spent the first round curling up in the middle, eyes closed, thinking I would never be able to take any photos. It was awful. And then at the second round I was able to open my eyes and take pics, but I never really enjoyed the experience. Too stressful. Glad the photos came out good though. It paid me back for my efforts!

I've been to this park several times (on trips to the library) and it is an oasis downtown. Love the fountain and great Skywatch post.

Great fountain, the way it splits those clouds in the sky.

I could be in Montpellier France where gushing fountains abound. Great way to combine the two themes. The blue/ green is very striking but should ne're been seen upon a fool. I have never understood that saying.
