Red Hot Chili Cook-Off

The Chef!

Saturday I stopped by the Exceptional Foundation's Chili Cook-Off at Homewood Park.  The Exceptional Foundation holds a special place in my heart. Many of our Shades Cahaba's kids have been a part of this wonderful program,  and I was pleased to support their fundraiser. What a well run , fun event this was. Many groups in town participated, and I tasted WAAAAYYYY too many of the great recipes!

Second post I've seen this week refer to a cook off. Again this osunds like something I'd be quite at home at, but lack here. Red hot Chili recipes and a cool lager for me. Love the tennis guys, so ironically cool.

Chili! Miam miam! Not too hot though.
I like very much the picture of the chef and his red hat.

AH, I tasted too many. I did like the seafood chili. It had oysters and shrimp and reminded me of gumbo.
I had TUMS for dessert.

These guys can't make up their minds about whether they want to play at Wimbledon, follow Pancho Villa or get a gig on Iron Chef. But how did all of it taste?
