Sometimes you just never know where you'll stumble.....drive by a really cool photo. Saturday, on my way through Woodlawn, I passed this colorful shot. On my way back, I slowed , rolled the window down and got it!! :) The Phoenix Cabaret/ Embers Disco.

I love this kind of shot. Great colors!
Wow, your fan base is quite the polyglot V.
Anyway, back to the pic. The band played a wedding last month where red and turquoise was the colour theme.
If you've caught up with uber-trendy Vancouver maybe B'ham isn't as backward as i thought afterall. :-)
A terrific capture. It just humms with energy.
W,
Oh we'll never "catch up " with Vancouver. Our music's too good and we don't have bears! :) And the Chinese delegation has been deleted.....AGAIN!
Brattcat and Joan,
Actually the place is very "seedy". The only plus is the color! I wouldn't have parked and gotten out of my car, believe me!
Colors are great!
Don't you just love drive-by shootings?
Very artsy, V, very lovely!
Windows .. shutter .. vibrant colors, I would have stopped too!
Love the colors and the layout--love, love, love.
I love it! Vivid colors and nice composition.
Bright shot... the colors work.
Superb! Not just the colors but how you photographed this scene. I want to know, though, how you shot this slowing down while rolling down the window.
You must be very agile. ;-)
Re your comment on Ocala DP: You are really scared of horses? Horses don't scare me but I run into a few horses asses now and then that frighten me something fierce! :-)
jacob,
Don't give me that much credit. There was no traffic coming or going so I literally stopped and shot it out of the car window. And OUI, I"m afraid of horses. I'm a wimp! :) And horse's asses don't scare me. I was married..........well never mind.
Ha ha! I'm glad I came late enough to read the comments. I love them, and I love this shot.
I went on a drive by shooting on Saturday afternoon. I got a couple of interesting shots, but the light was all wrong. In fact, I think I might have seen you going into your church. Could I be right?
Steviewren,
I think you were right. I was going to assist with a wedding around 5:00. Wish you'd stopped!
V
Sharon,
