Dinette Set

Oh, another trip back to "Mid Century Modern". What is that??? It's my childhood, that's what. I ate many a meal at a set just like this one at the Bottle Tree Bar and Restaurant. I even felt all nostalgic about the linoleum squares on the floor. I love this place.

One of your evocative photos.

Oh yeah, linoleum. What ever happened to linoleum.

I can see why you'd love this place. I bet it serves comfort food, too.

it's not often we see linoleum these days - at least not here. Love the colours, the light, the shadows and the whole photo looks so in tune with your gorgeous header.

Looks like my grandmama's old kitchen floor before the linoleum got ripped up and modernized! Virginia, you've inspired me to pay more attention to chairs and floors. I love this photo!

Wow Virg, that picture is a poem.

Hiker,
How's about you writing one of your fine fine short stories about it? You too Petrea!

Thanks everyone. This place just has the most amazing afternoon light coming in the front windows. I"ve posted another shot of a tabletop in the past. Very cool place and they don't seem to think I'm overly weird for getting up and wandering around with my camera!

This is so gorgeous (I need a better vocabulary so I don't keep using the same word). The light is amazing, like a Vermeer painting.

Ditto to all above!!! Great shot V!!!

You would've loved my grandma's kitchen table like this one...it was red with matching red chairs!!!

Did you know that linoleum is actually quite organic and made from renewable sources??? Actually, much healthier than our synthetic floorings!!!
