Overlooking the Twenty Second Street Viaduct

We call this the 22nd Street Viaduct. I'm not so sure it's really a true viaduct, but well, we like it. It makes us seem so .........Roman? Italian? ( After reading Wikipedia, maybe we're in the clear on this.) I just love the texture of the pilasters ( now I'm not sure these are pilasters). Oh dear!

Interesting perspective and if you're OK with viaduct and pilaster; so are we.

What's funny is that for all my many ( decades) years here that's all we've ever called them. Now that I have a blog and readers that are really "in the know", I worry about everything! Thanks for your vote of confidence!!

Oh, if we get it wrong someone will help us see our error...and, more often than not, gently and with kindness. Love the shot through the pilasters (or whatever they are).

JB,
I knew you'd figure it out for us. Merci!

Hiker,
the texture of the BALUSTERS was what drew me too.

B2,
Everyday is Confusion Central around here.

Thanks Brattcat!
