Time For Chard

I'll be  honest, when someone says it's time for chard, I think chardonnay,  At the Pepper Place it takes on another, more photogenic meaning. The Swiss chard last Saturday was a delight for my camera and I'm sure it was tasty as well!

Aw Shucks..........Pass the Butter!

PARDON!!!, I know that's so corny ( even worse!) Sometimes I can't help myself.

*** My niece Jenifer, ( from Iowa), is in Rome for a semester. She has a great little blog, and I think she would love to hear some kind words! Maybe you could give her a hello from time to time? Now that I think about it, this corn will probably make her homesick!

Welcome Back to the Pepper Place Market

Those of you that have followed my blog since last summer are very familiar with our Pepper Place Market.  It's open from May through October on Saturdays.  Located around the old Dr. Pepper Bottling Company, it's the place to be on a Saturday morning.  There are wonderful fruits and vegetables from local growers, flowers,  homemade sweets, jams, salsa, crafts,  live music and demonstrations by local chefs.  I don't mind telling you that this is one thing I'll miss while I'm in France.

Today a couple of photos to give you a taste of Pepper Place. Stay tuned, I have more this week, plus an artist or two!
