SKYWATCH FRIDAY - A Little Razzle Dazzle at the BMA

The metallic panels of this sculpture at the Birmingham Museum of Art shimmer in the sunlight. The blue sky and white clouds are the perfect backdrop for it.  The Sculpture Garden is  kid, adult, and photographer friendly .  It is a wonderful place to introduce children to the world of art. They can run around, be noisy and look at the eclectic mix of  sculpture up close and personal.  Who knew a museum could be so much fun!

Sounds like a fun place to visit. The sculpture looks great with the sky as a backdrop.

surprising, and it reflects your beautiful sky. To put the music on your blog, the best way is through a site like deezer where you can make a small radio , Where only save a piece. My system is more complicated, because I pass by one of my websites outside.

Merci, Olivier. I will give it a try.

Hi Virginia, thanks for visiting me at San Diego DP and for leaving such nice comments! I've enjoyed seeing your photos too and think you describe them perfectly - they do have a European feel to them! Today's photo reminds me of the song "Shiny Happy People" by REM. And thanks to Olivier for the music tip - maybe someday I'll try that too.

I saw you over at Seattle Daily Photo and just thought I'd pop by to see what's going on in Birmingham! I've lived and traveled all over the country, but I've never been to Alabama! Can't wait to check out your archive of photos and see what I've been missing. This is a super photo, so I know I'm in for a treat!!

What an excellent photo for Sky Watch! I love the sculpture against the blue skies … great angle! If you have time to visit, I participated in Sky Watch Friday at Sacred Ruminations with cloud views from my deck.
Hugs and blessings,

I love the structure!! It's mesmerizing, all glittery and shiny.

This is one of the things I envy about American cities: sculptures and works of art that make you stop, look, wonder, reflect, and feel aesthetically nourished ...
