It's Too Darn Hot!!

Down here in Birmingham, we're frying eggs on the sidewalk! The temps are hovering around 100F/38C this week. I thought just looking at these cute kiddos enjoying a Snow Cone at the Pepper Place Market might help cool us off. Enjoy!

And Ella Fitzgerald has a song for you today!

I will be offering another 5 week series of photography classes, here in Birmingham, on Monday, July 26 from 1-3pm. These classes are designed for amateur photographers that want to take better family and vacation photos. Contact me if you are interested.

I love the grazed knee! Too cute! I hope it all cools down soon.

That little girl looks hot. I'm not sure if it's her expression or the suggestion of moisture on her skin and hair. Anyway, these are excellent, as usual, dear V.

I'll pass on the eggs this morning, if you don't mind.

I could use a snow cone about now. Just saw the weather report for today...we're at 87% humidity! I don't think I'll be mowing any grass today.

Stay cool!

Hot, hot here, too...hovering around 33 today. I am sitting here typing with the fan blowing right on me and wishing I had a snow cone.

It's been hot here too! Today they said it will be 110 with the heat index. :S

I wouldn't mind one of those refreshing snowcones. Maybe a bit later in the day, though. :)

It's hot here, too. Wonderful portraits, V!

Re your comment on The Villages...both "downtowns" (Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing) offer music and dancing every night of the year, weather permitting. Lots of people show up even when it's cold or hot. Many just sit and watch and tap their feet, but lots get out there and dance the night away. It's really great to see folks in their 80s and 90s swinging away like teenagers!

Can I get bacon with that? (Our heat wave broke over the weekend, and it's in the upper 70's these days, which is very, very odd for SoCal in mid July.)

You're getting what we had last week. It's cooled off to the 80s and everybody's happier.

Just one word... COOL! Oh yes, also--- I would like one too. Hot here too.

LOVE the second picture. The contrast in the hands - size, texture, color - is wonderful, as is the way the little girl is staring at that giant paw.

Hotter down your way than up our way. I'll shut up about it for a while.

My sympathies to you Ms V!!! We were in unbelievable heat and humidity in Rome, mid July...I don't do well in extreme heat and or humidity and got to a point the first day there when I finally told the Hubman in the afternoon that I had to stop and cool down or I was going to pass out!!! Unfortunately, air conditioning in Europe is not the same as here!!! I don't think their electric bills soar like ours during the summer!!! At least the heat was mitigated by the fabulous sight!!!
