"Be the change you want to see in the world"
Gandhi

If only the change I wanted depended solely on me. Pray 1st.

2nd, Happiest New Year to you, wunderful Alabaman French woman Virg!

What an inspiring thread to remember as the year progresses, Virginia. Individual action may not be enough, but if enough of us act in concert, we can change the world.

I can keep that with me as I meander off into twenty ten.

Super captures of this wonderful event, V. I miss reading with my daughter and children at here school when they were young. She still enjoys reading aloud to me, though, so that is fun. We used to have DEAR Day in our community. . .Drop Everything And Read day. Literacy is so important and brings such pleasure to life!
Best to you in this new year dear Virginia, and much continued happiness as you bring us more of your fair city.

Well, ah, I see you got a theme day thing together, unlike some people we could mention. Such a good point. Your Gandhi quote makes me think of Victor's post today. Is that you in the middle picture?

Virginia I almost had tears in my eyes. This is such a moving post!
Yes I believe in being the change you want to see in the world and yes I believe education is the key to everything.

Probably the best post of today's theme.
